Phantom 2.0 – Scooter Stuck in P Mode / App Won’t RecognizeUpdated 5 minutes ago

The Apollo Phantom 2.0 may become stuck in P (parking) mode and fail to connect or be recognized by the Apollo app. In some cases, the scooter may not power back on after attempting to remove and re-add it in the app.

Symptoms

  • Scooter displays “P” and will not exit parking mode.
  • Apollo app cannot discover or recognize the scooter.
  • After removing the scooter from the app, it fails to power back on or remains unresponsive to pairing.
  • Normal throttle operation is disabled while stuck in P.

Causes

  • Temporary Bluetooth pairing state corruption between the scooter and app.
  • Controller/firmware session lock triggered by the app reconfiguration process.
  • Soft-state bug where the scooter remains in a protected “off” state after app actions.

Tools Required

  • Apollo charger (Phantom 2.0 compatible)
  • Smartphone with the Apollo app installed and updated
  • Stable internet/Bluetooth connection

Solution

The issue is typically caused by a transient pairing/firmware state. A soft reset through the charger power cycle clears the stuck P state and restores app recognition.

  • Perform the charger-assisted power cycle (steps below).
  • Reconfigure the scooter in the Apollo app.
  • If the app still does not recognize the scooter, toggle Bluetooth off/on and retry pairing.
  • If the problem persists, perform a standard power cycle and try from a different phone to rule out device-side Bluetooth issues.
  • If none of the above works, contact Apollo Support to review firmware and controller diagnostics.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • With the scooter powered ON, plug in the charger to force a controlled shutdown.
  • Unplug the charger, then power the scooter back ON normally.
  • Open the Apollo app, ensure Bluetooth is enabled, and re-add the scooter.
  • If not recognized, force close and reopen the app, then retry pairing.
  • Toggle the phone’s Bluetooth off/on and retry; if possible, test with a second phone.
  • If the scooter remains stuck in P after pairing, repeat the charger-assisted cycle once more.
  • Contact Apollo Support if the scooter still cannot exit P or be recognized.
