Understanding MACH Controllers

Overview

This article explains the differences between MACH controllers and legacy controllers in dual motor scooters. It also covers how to identify front and rear controllers using serial codes and model numbers.

MACH Controllers vs. Legacy Controllers

  • New dual motor scooters equipped with MACH controllers require only one controller to operate both the front and rear motors.
  • Legacy scooter models needed two separate controllers—one for each motor.

💡 Tip: Using a single MACH controller simplifies maintenance and reduces the number of parts you need to manage.

Identifying Front and Rear Controllers

  • The front and rear controllers are almost physically identical.
  • You can differentiate between them by checking their serial codes:
  • The front controller's serial code ends with "-A".
  • The rear controller's serial code ends with "-B".
  • In some cases, the model number may end with "-F" for the front controller and "-B" for the rear controller.
