The stem light does not turn on even though it was working previously.

Symptoms

• Stem/ambient light does not illuminate
• Issue appeared suddenly after normal operation
• Headlight and main display may still function
• No error codes displayed on the screen

Causes

• Incorrect light toggle procedure for stem/ambient light modes
• Display input not registering due to timing of button presses
• Ambient/stem light mode disabled in settings (model-dependent)
• Loose light harness connector in the stem or deck (less likely if it was just working)
• Pinched or damaged stem light wire from recent folding/unfolding (least likely but possible)

Solution

The issue is typically caused by using the wrong button sequence for toggling the stem/ambient light mode.

• Quickly press the M button twice to toggle the stem/ambient light
• Verify head light turn on by pressing the headlight button once (if separate on your model)
• If the stem light still won’t turn on, inspect the stem light connector for a loose connection
• If wiring and connectors are secure and the light still fails, light box may need replacement

Troubleshooting Steps
