How do I adjust the drum brakes to fix the noise?
Follow these steps to adjust the drum brakes:
- Place the scooter on a stand with wheels able to spin freely
- Completely loosen the drum brake
- Use the throttle to test spin the wheels
- Verify that the rubbing sound has stopped
- Gradually tighten the drum brake in 1/4 turn increments
- Test with throttle after each adjustment
- Continue until brake is as tight as possible without producing noise
