Latch feels loose or does not clip securely. Or to adjust the folding mechanism safety hook (small orange hook).

Symptoms

• Orange latch hook does not seat or clip perfectly on the catch.
• Perceived stem play remains after attempted adjustments.

Causes

• Latch hook position is slightly out of alignment and needs micro-adjustment via the latch grub screw.
• Over-tensioned main adjustment screw from previous attempts without unlocking set screws.

Solution

• If the latch is hard to close or doesn’t clip perfectly, adjust the new latch grub screw to position the orange hook correctly.
