NFC Card Not Working or PairingUpdated 3 hours ago

If your NFC card is not pairing or not unlocking your scooter, follow the steps below in order to quickly diagnose and resolve the issue.

When this guide applies

Use this article if:

  • Your NFC card does not register when you try to pair it to the scooter.
  • The scooter does not unlock with the NFC card, even though it used to work or you just tried to set it up.

If the scooter will not power on, shows unrelated error codes, or appears physically damaged, contact support first, as this guide may not address those issues.

Step 1 – Try a controlled reset

A controlled reset refreshes the scooter’s systems and often restores NFC functionality.

  1. Turn the scooter on normally.
  2. While the scooter is powered on, plug the charger into the scooter.
  3. Wait a few seconds, then unplug the charger from the scooter.
  4. Turn the scooter off, wait a moment, then turn it back on.

After the restart, test the NFC card again to see if it now unlocks the scooter.

Step 2 – Remove and re-pair NFC cards

If the controlled reset does not fix the problem, re-pair the NFC cards.

  1. Open the scooter’s NFC or card management menu on the display (if available) and delete or remove any currently paired NFC cards.
  2. Follow the pairing instructions on the display or in your user manual to add the NFC card again.

Many NFC issues resolve once old pairings are removed and the card is added again from scratch.

Step 3 – Update scooter firmware

If the NFC card still does not work, make sure your scooter firmware is fully up to date.

  • Update the display firmware to the latest version.
  • Update the controller firmware to the latest version as well.

After both updates, restart the scooter and attempt to pair and use the NFC card again.
