Motor Noise While on Standby
You may notice a slight electrical or humming noise from the motor on Apollo scooters when powered on but not in park mode, especially during gentle back-and-forth movement without throttle. This sound does not occur when powered off or during normal riding. It is normal behavior for the electric scooter motor and controller, confirmed safe with no impact on performance.
Symptoms
- Humming or electrical-like noise when scooter is powered on and lightly rocked.
- Absent when powered off or in motion under throttle.
- May appear after firmware updates; brakes unrelated after verification.
Root Cause
The noise stems from normal motor/controller operation when powered on, common in dual-motor setups. It does not indicate a defect, even on low-mileage units. No safety or ride quality issues arise.
