How to Perform the Initial Charging on Your Apollo Scooter

Overview

This article explains how to correctly perform the initial charging of your Apollo Scooter. Proper first-time charging helps maintain battery health and ensures you get the best performance from your scooter.

Before You Begin

  • Your new Apollo Scooter, still powered off
  • The original Apollo charger that came with your scooter
  • Access to a standard wall power outlet (110V–240V)
  • A safe, dry, and ventilated area for charging

Step 1: Unbox and Inspect Your Scooter

  1. Carefully remove your Apollo Scooter from its packaging.
  • Check for any visible damage or missing parts.
  • Make sure the charger and charging cable are included.

💡 Tip: Keep your original packaging in case you need to return or ship your scooter.

Step 2: Locate the Charging Port

  1. Find the charging port on your scooter (usually on the deck or stem).
  • Remove the rubber cap covering the port.

⚠️ Note: Ensure the charging port is dry and clean before plugging in the charger.

Step 3: Connect the Charger

  1. Plug the charger into the wall outlet first.
  • Connect the charger’s plug to the scooter’s charging port.
  • The charger indicator light should turn red, showing that charging has started.

💡 Tip: Always use the official Apollo charger to avoid battery damage.

Step 4: Charge Fully Before First Use

  1. Let the scooter charge until the charger indicator turns green.
  • This may take 6–8 hours for the initial charge.
  • Do not unplug the charger before the light turns green.

⚠️ Note: Charging for the full recommended time during the first charge helps balance the battery cells.

Step 5: Disconnect and Cover

  1. Unplug the charger from the wall outlet first, then from the scooter.
  • Replace the rubber cap on the charging port to protect it from dust and water.

Verification

  • The charger indicator light turns green when fully charged.
  • The scooter’s battery display shows 100% or full bars.
  • The scooter powers on and displays a full battery icon.
