How to Check App Versions on iOS and Android Devices

Overview

This guide explains how to check the version number of any installed app on your iOS or Android device. Knowing your app version can help with troubleshooting, ensuring compatibility, and confirming you have the latest features.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure your device is powered on and unlocked.
  • Apollo App is installed

Steps

iOS Devices

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.
  2. Select General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Wait a moment for the screen to populate with storage stats for each installed app.
  4. Tap the app you want to see the version number for.
  5. Next to the app icon, you'll see:
    • App name
    • Version number
    • Size of the app itself
    • Size of the data stored by that app

Android Devices

Method 1: Through Settings

  1. Go to your device's Settings.
  2. Navigate to Apps and notifications.
  3. Look for the app whose version you want to check.
  4. Select the app to view App Info.
  5. Swipe to the bottom to find the version number.

Method 2: Quick Access

  1. Long-press on an app icon on your home screen.
  2. Tap on the app info icon (i).
  3. In Settings, under App info:
    • Tap on the Advanced dropdown menu.
    • The version number appears at the bottom.

💡 Tip: On some Android devices, the version number appears immediately in the App Info screen without needing to tap "Advanced."
