Apollo Secure – Theft Protection PlanUpdated a day ago
Apollo Secure is an optional paid plan that adds theft protection for eligible Apollo scooters. It is separate from Apollo Max and focuses specifically on helping you replace your scooter if it is stolen.
Who Can Subscribe
To be able to see and purchase Apollo Secure in the Apollo app, you must meet all of the following:
- You are the registered owner of the scooter.
- Your scooter is linked to your Apollo account.
- You are actively connected to your scooter via the Apollo app when you subscribe.
- Your account region is one of:
- United States
- Canada
- Australia
- Your scooter is an app-compatible Apollo model.
- If your scooter is not supported, Apollo Secure will not appear in your app.
What Apollo Secure Costs
Apollo Secure is billed through the Apollo app:
- Monthly plan: $6.00 per month (USD)
- Yearly plan: $64.80 per year (USD)
Pricing is shown in the app at checkout will be in US currency regardless whether you are in Canada or Australia.
How to Subscribe in the App
You can subscribe directly in the Apollo app in just a few steps:
- Open the Apollo app and connect to your scooter.
- Go to your Scooter details screen.
- Tap Apollo Secure to open the theft protection flow.
- Review the coverage details, including the 30‑day waiting period.
- Read and accept the Apollo Secure Terms & Conditions.
- Enter your payment details to start your monthly or yearly plan.
Once completed, your subscription will appear under your scooter’s protection or warranty section in the app.
When Coverage Starts
- There is a 30‑day waiting period from the moment you start Apollo Secure.
- Theft incidents that happen before your 30‑day waiting period ends are not eligible for a claim.
- As long as your subscription stays active and in good standing, your scooter remains covered after the waiting period.
How to File a Theft Claim
If your scooter is stolen, you can submit a claim directly from the Apollo app.
Step 1 – Make Sure You’re Eligible
To be eligible for a theft claim:
- You must have been continuously subscribed to Apollo Secure for at least 30 days before the theft occurred.
- You must file a police report about the theft:
- No sooner than 48 hours after discovering the theft (to rule out misplacement).
- No later than 7 days after discovering the theft.
- You must submit your claim in the Apollo app within 10 days of receiving your police report.
Step 2 – File a Police Report
- Contact your local police department.
- File an official theft report for your scooter.
- Keep a copy of the report (PDF, photo, or scan) to upload in the app.
Step 3 – Submit the Claim in the App
In the Apollo app:
- Open your scooter in the app.
- Go to the Apollo Secure or theft protection section.
- Start a theft claim.
- Fill in the required details, including:
- Date you discovered the theft.
- Description of what happened.
- Your scooter’s serial number.
- Upload a copy of your police report.
- Submit your claim.
You will receive updates by email and/or through the app as your claim is reviewed.
What Happens After You Submit a Claim
Once your claim is submitted:
- Our team reviews:
- Your subscription status and waiting period.
- The information provided in your claim.
- The police report details.
- You may be contacted if more information or clarification is needed.
- If your claim is approved:
- You will be asked to pay a service fee based on your scooter’s tier (see below).
- After your service fee is paid, we will proceed with your replacement.
If your claim is not approved, we will let you know the reason.
Service Fee Tiers (Replacement Fee)
If your theft claim is approved, you pay a one-time service fee depending on your scooter model:
Budget – $200 USD
- Dash
- Explore 2.0
- Go 36V (2024/2025)
Commuter – $300 USD
- Go 2.0
- Go 2.0 Stellar
- City 2.0
- City 2.0 Single
- City 2.0 Dual
Mid‑Range – $500 USD
- Explore 2.0 Stellar
Performance – $800 USD
- Phantom 2.0 52V (Regular)
- Phantom 2.0 60V (Stellar)
Your exact service fee and currency will be confirmed during the claim process based on your scooter model and region.
Replacement Limits
To keep the program fair and sustainable, the following limits apply:
- Maximum of one (1) approved replacement per scooter within any rolling 12‑month period.
- Maximum of two (2) approved replacements over the lifetime of the same scooter serial number.
If you reach these limits, further theft claims for that scooter will not be eligible under Apollo Secure.
How to View or Manage Your Apollo Secure Plan
You can manage your Apollo Secure plan from your Apollo account:
- In the Apollo app:
- Open your scooter.
- Go to protection or warranty details to see:
- Whether Apollo Secure is active.
- Your coverage dates and plan type (monthly/yearly).
- From there, you can:
- Review your plan details.
- See your current status.
- Follow the in‑app prompts to manage your subscription (for example, updating payment method).
