Apollo Certified Shop ProgramUpdated 7 hours ago

Why Choose a Local Certified Shop?

Taking your Apollo scooter to a Certified Shop offers several advantages:

  • Convenience: Avoid the hassle and potential risks of shipping your scooter back to Apollo for repairs.
  • Cost Savings: Save money by eliminating shipping fees.
  • Reduced Risk: Minimize the chances of your scooter being lost or damaged during transit.

Understanding Repair Costs: In-Warranty vs. Out-of-Warranty

The cost of your repair will depend on whether it's covered by Apollo's Limited Warranty.

Out-of-Warranty Repairs

If your repair is not covered by the warranty, you can expect the following costs:

  • Parts:You will pay the regular Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for parts, as listed on the Apollo website.
    • You have two options: order parts in advance and bring them to the shop, or let the Certified Shop order them for you when you bring your scooter in.
  • Labour: The Certified Shop will set its own hourly labour rates. You can find these rates listed on the Service Locator.
  • Diagnostic Fee: If your scooter requires diagnosis, the Certified Shop will charge a diagnostic fee, the rate for which is also available on the Service Locator.

In-Warranty Repairs

For repairs covered by the warranty:

  • Parts: All necessary parts are covered by the warranty. The Certified Shop can order these for you.
  • Labour: In most cases, labour is fully covered. You will only be responsible for additional labour charges if the Certified Shop's hourly rate is higher than Apollo's standard labour rate of $100/hour.
    • These situations are rare. We recommend checking the labour rates of your local Certified Shop on the Service Locator beforehand.

Why Might I Pay for Warranty Repairs?

In some instances, you might have a small out-of-pocket expense for labour even with an in-warranty repair. This typically occurs when a Certified Shop's labour rate exceeds Apollo's standard rate of $100/hour.

  • How it works: Apollo covers labour up to $100 per hour. If a shop charges, for example, $120 per hour, you would pay the $20 difference for the hours worked.
  • Benefit: Even with this small additional cost, it's often still more affordable than shipping your scooter to an Apollo Hub for repair, which would provide full labour coverage.
  • Alternative: If you prefer full labour coverage for warranty repairs, you can ship your scooter to an Apollo Hub.
