General Stem Replacement Steps
Remove the handlebar assembly.
Begin by detaching the handlebar assembly to expose the upper stem components. Disconnect the brakes from the levers and connecting cablesLoosen the lower stem bolts.
Locate the bolts at the base of the stem and loosen them to release tension.Remove the main retaining nut.
This nut connects the lower stem to the suspension assembly. Removing it allows the stem to separate from the scooter’s front end.Free the stem from the lower assembly.
If the stem is difficult to remove, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the relief slit in the lower stem. Gently and carefully twist/ply to widen the opening and ease the stem out.
