📦 Unboxing and Setup: Apollo Phantom 2.0

Congratulations on your new Apollo Phantom 2.0 electric scooter! Following the correct setup procedure is the most important step to ensure your safety and the scooter's performance.

🎁 Unboxing Your Scooter

Before you begin, gather the following items:

  • Box cutters or knife

  • Stool or bench (for elevating the scooter so wheels can spin freely)

  • Air pump

  • Someone to help

Unboxing Steps

  1. Open the shipping box using the box cutter and fold open the top.

  2. Inside, you should find protective styrofoam and the following contents:

    • Apollo Phantom 2.0 electric scooter

    • Manual

    • Charger and cable

    • Hex key

    • Screw Kit

  3. If any items are missing, contact the support team immediately.

  4. With the help of another person, remove the scooter from the box and place it on a flat surface, ideally on a stool or bench.

  5. Carefully remove the protective material.

    • Important: Keep both the styrofoam and the box in case you need to ship your scooter back to Apollo. Otherwise, recycle the materials.

🛠️ Assembly and Unfolding

Unfolding the Scooter

  1. Unfold the Stem: Pull the stem upward until it is in a vertical position. Ensure the stem is completely vertical and the hook is correctly aligned.

  2. Lock the Safety Latch: Locate the safety latch and lower it to lock it into the notch.

  3. Lock the Folding Latch: Locate the main folding latch and lift it to secure the stem in place. This may require some force. Ensure the safety button of the folding mechanism is fully engaged in the stem.

  4. Secure the Strap: Locate the strap, pass it around the folding latch, and attach it as shown in the figure.

  5. Note on a Stuck Stem: If the stem is stuck in the platform, press the release button located on the deck, fold the tab back towards the stem, and then pull the stem upward, following steps 2 through 5 to lock it.

🚨 WARNING: Always ensure the safety button of the folding mechanism is clipped and the stem is fully secured before riding. Failure to do so can result in the stem coming undone, leading to loss of control, serious injury, or death.

Attaching the Handlebar

  1. Connect Cables: Connect the male connection cable coming out of the handlebar to the female cable coming out of the front stem. Be sure the pins are aligned, and the male and female ports are properly aligned.

  2. Insert and Screw: Insert the handlebar at the top of the front stem and secure it in place by tightening the 6 hex screws provided.

    • Caution: Be careful not to damage the cable when connecting the handlebar to the front stem.

✅ Performing the Initial Test

With the scooter elevated on a stool or bench so the wheels can spin freely, perform the following tests:

1. Power On and Motor Test

  1. Power On: Locate the power button on the right side of the handlebar and press it for 3 seconds to turn on the scooter. The display should light up.

  2. Motor Test: The scooter defaults to "Kick to Start" mode. Manually spin a wheel, then press the throttle on the right side of the handlebar. The wheels should begin to spin normally.

    • Note: You may hear a noise from the motor at low speeds; this is normal as the motor communicates with the controller.

  3. If a motor doesn't spin, DO NOT OPERATE THE SCOOTER. Contact support immediately.

2. Brake Test

  1. Accelerate: Press the throttle on the right side and let the motor wheels accelerate for about 5 seconds.

  2. Brake: Release the throttle and apply both brakes at the same time. The wheels should stop immediately.

3. Gear Change Test

  1. Cycle Speeds: Quickly press the Power Button twice to cycle through the speed levels: Eco mode, Comfort mode, and Sport mode.

  2. Ludo Mode: Quickly press the Power Button three times to enter Ludo mode.

4. Lights Test

  1. Turn On Lights: Press the Mode button (M) quickly once to turn on the lights.

  2. Confirm Operation: Confirm that all lights power on: the headlight and the rear tail light.

  3. If all lights do not power on, DO NOT OPERATE THE SCOOTER. Contact support immediately.

5. Turn Signals Test

  1. Right Signal: Press the right arrow button on the right side of the handlebar. The right signals should turn on. Click the button again to turn them off.

  2. Left Signal: Press the left arrow button on the left side of the handlebar. The left signals should turn on. Click the button again to turn them off.

6. Apple Find My Activation

  1. Activate Discoverable: Ensure your Apple Find My device is set to "discoverable."

  2. Scooter Activation: Press and hold the M button on the left side of the handlebar for 2 seconds.

7. Tire Pressure Check

  1. Locate Valve: Grab your air pump and locate the air valve on the front tire. Remove the safety cap.

  2. Check/Adjust PSI: Attach the pump tube to the valve and read the PSI measure. The ideal tire pressure for the Apollo Phantom 2.0 is 50 PSI.

  3. Inflate or deflate the tire as needed until the pressure is exactly 50 PSI.

  4. Replace the safety cap and repeat the process for the rear tire.

Congratulations! Your Apollo Phantom 2.0 is now set up and ready to ride. If you experience any difficulties, please refer to the manual or contact Our A-Team at [email protected].
