Start by peeling off the grip tape from the deck and set it aside.
Use the 5mm Allen key to remove the six screws holding the deck cover in place.
Gently lift the deck cover, being cautious of connected wires. If it's stuck, tap the back of the footrest with a rubber mallet to aid removal.
Flip the deck cover over and disconnect the connectors attached to it.
Use a Philips head screwdriver to remove the three screws securing the IoT module. Carefully push down on the module to assist in its removal. Run the wires through the designated hole.
Place the new IoT module in position and secure it with the three screws. Avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the plastic.
Reconnect the orange to orange connectors, providing power to the side LEDs. Plug in the green to green connector for the IoT module.
Before securing the deck cover, ensure no wires are pinched or crushed. Lay the cover flat and check for proper wire placement.
Carefully place the deck cover back on the scooter. Double-check that none of the wires are obstructed or crushed by screws.
Secure the deck cover with the six screws using the 5mm Allen key.
Align and reapply the grip tape to the deck.
