Start by removing the C clip from the pin that holds the folding mechanism in place with the snap ring pliers. You can use a pair of Flush Cutters as an alternative. Gently pry off the C clip, ensuring not to damage it.
Using a punch, tap out the pin that secures the folding mechanism. If the pin is stubborn, give it a light tap on the opposite side to help loosen it. Remember to keep track of the spring attached to the pin
With the pin removed, you can now take off the old folding mechanism from the stem. Carefully lift it off, ensuring not to lose any components.
Position the new folding mechanism in place, ensuring the spring is correctly positioned. Align the components and insert the pin back through. If needed, use a punch or Allen key to help guide the pin through.
Once the pin is in place, secure it by adding the screw provided. Tighten the screw using the 5mm Allen keys to ensure it's firmly attached.
Flip the hook back around and reassemble the stem. Test the folding mechanism to ensure it moves smoothly and locks into place securely.
